Here in Skopelos just 6 days and already the darkroom is cleaned (swabbed down) and chemicals all mixed. Hurrah!

Earlier this morning, coffee time was suddenly interrupted by little Apostolos, a neighbor’s son, just 6 years old, bouncing down our dirt road on his small donkey. As he passed he called out, “Fotografies?” I ran inside and got them, the photos I had taken of him and his family last summer. After giving the donkey a quick pat on the nose I looked about for a place to safely tuck the photos. But his homemade wooden saddle was all utility. With tools to cut olive branches tucked into the saddle straps there was no room for photos to be safely stowed. Instead, we worked out a delivery rendezvous for 6 o’clock that afternoon.
